History of the Saiya-jins Race, Part 1

The earliest Saiyans were a primitive, savage race of powerful warriors. They lived mainly for chaos, violence, and destruction. All other races in the universe feared the Saiyans immensely. The Saiyans conquered other established civilizations and used their technology as a major advantage. Scouters, which indicate fighting power and energy levels, were developed and used by Saiyans as a primary tool in battle, and were almost relied upon for their preciseness. Also, Saiya-jins Armor was produced, which increase certain physical attributes such as resistance, endurance, speed, and agility. A civilized, technological Saiya-jins kingdom was firmly established on planet Vegeta.

Planet Vegeta's political structure is an absolute monarchy. The King of the planet is named Vegeta, and all the King's sons are also named Vegeta (confusing, huh?). The economy of these brutes is not what you'd expect at first. Aside from being great warriors, Saiyans are also planet brokers. I know it sounds corny, let me further explain. The Saiyans either go out to find, or are paid by other races to find planets. When they finish their search, the Saiyans annihilate any and all life on the planet, creating a fresh habitat for a new race. If the planet they find is inhabited a very weak race, a baby Saiya-jin is sent to take care of the planet life......by himself!! However, if the inhabitants are tougher and more powerful, stronger, adult fighters are sent to cleanse all the life.

Saiyans have a unique fighting skill and appearance. The ability to battle flows strong within a Saiya-jin from birth. They are so powerful that they are one of, if not the most feared race in the universe. However, no matter how strong a Saiya-jin is, he keeps getting stronger with every fight. When a Saiya-jin is beaten (but not killed) and then restored, his power increases incredibly. Saiyans also have monkey-like tails, and when they look at a full moon, they turn into giant were-monkeys, called Oozarus. With this transformation, a Saiya-jin's power would increase by about 10 times his normal form (if you can imagine). When a Saiya-jin is strong enough, under the right circumstances, he will transform into what is called a Super Saiya-jin (see my page on Super Saiya-jins).Want to explore how Frieza impacted the Saiya-jin race?
